Do You Struggle with Anxiety?

Anxiety is something we all experience. Some of us manage to pull through without much difficulty and others can struggle with moving on from the intense emotion. So how do you know if anxiety is more of a pressing issue or even a disorder?

Someone who struggles with an anxiety disorder, known as Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), would experience:

  • Excessive worry about multiple things

  • Trouble relaxing

  • Irritability

  • Trouble concentrating

  • Worst-case scenario thinking

  • Difficulty with sleep

You might be thinking, ‘Doesn’'t everyone experience these symptoms?’. The answer is yes, however, what makes these symptoms a disorder is the intensity, how it interrupts daily functioning, and whether or not these symptoms get worse over time.
